Farm Equipment Thefts Reported in Rural Laramie County

The Laramie County Sheriff's Department is seeing an increase in thefts of agricultural equipment and scrap metal items in the rural areas of the county. Spokesman Gerry Luce says most of the reports have been in the Burns area.

Luce says the department is recommending that farmers and ranchers frequently check their equipment or consider installing a remote camera around their valuable equipment and items. Luce says anyone with information about these thefts should contact the Laramie County Sheriff's Department or Silent Witness at 638-tips.
