U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, (R-WY) is calling on Wyoming residents to share their opinion on recently proposed water regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The deadline to comment on the EPA’s “Waters of the US” proposal was July 17, but this week because of heightened interest, the EPA extended the deadline to October 20. This proposal would give the EPA more control over private property, including streams, ditches, ponds, and other local bodies of water.

“Wyoming doesn’t need permission from Washington for what they can and cannot do on their own private property,” said Enzi. “If you are concerned with this massive expansion of government over our water rights, let the EPA know. When government crosses the line, citizens need to speak out.”
