Children do much better on their tests, when the cell phones are taken out of the picture, according to a new study. Would you agree with your child's school banning them?  A study recently conducted by the London School of Economics stated that they found the impact of banning cell phones for students, equated to about an hour a week in school. This comes out to about a 5 day increase in school per year.

According to the research group, schools that eliminated the use of cellphones saw an increase of about 6.4% in students test scores.

The opposition to this idea comes from parents, who want to be able to contact their children at any given moment. In New York, the governor lifted a ban on cell phone use, and turned that decision over to the local school boards.
