Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak says police are checking out every possible lead in a recent double homicide that claimed the lives of two Cheyenne residents.

The Chief says locally his officers have canvassed businesses in the area where the killings occurred to see if any images of the killer will turn up. Police have also examined all available forensic evidence, such as DNA and fingerprints, from The Coin Shop, the site of the killings.

Kozak says his officers have also pulled in known local criminals for questioning, including those with history of armed robberies. He says they are also questioning known heroin and methamphetamine users and dealers, in case the killer may have been a drug addict desperate for money.

Kozak says detectives have also been studying information on similar crimes from across the country. The Chief says detectives have specifically been in contact with the Los Angeles Police Department about coin store robberies in that area, as well as law enforcement in Texas.

Police are looking for the man who shot 67 year old Dwight Brockman and 76 year old George Manley to death around 9:30 a.m. on July 20th. Brockman was the owner of The Coin Shop, while Manley was a well-known Cheyenne resident.
