CRMC Gets Federal Grant For Health Training
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's population health division has received an $800, 000 federal grant for a public health training center.
Phyllis Sherard, CRMC chief strategy officer and vice president of population health says the money will be used in a statewide effort to improve health care and accessibility to medical care across Wyoming.
The effort will include several components, including such things as the development of patient centered medical homes, a virtual pharmacy, an increased focus on tele-health programs and several other facets.
Sherard says CRMC will work together with the Wyoming Department of Health as well as hospitals and clinics across the state to implement the plan.
The money from the grant will be allocated at $200,000 per year over each of the next four years.
