Authorities pronounced a Green River man dead last week after he drove into a parked tractor trailer along Interstate 80 near Rawlins.

Sgt. Stephen Townsend with the Wyoming Highway Patrol says 39-year-old David Crashley was driving eastbound along I-80 when he ran into the tractor trailer just before 7 a.m. on Feb. 11.

Authorities say the tractor trailer had been parked in the eastbound emergency lane at the time of the accident. Townsend says the driver, 40-year-old Jared Chavez of Tampa, was switching driving responsibilities with another person, 49-year-old Louis Fontanez-Bermudez of Orlando, at the time of the accident.

Crashley was found dead at the scene. Both Chavez and Fontanez-Bermudez left the scene uninjured.

Townsend says Chavez was ticketed for a parking violation.
