Larry Nance Jr.scored 23 points, including the game winning basket,  and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Wyoming Cowboys to a dramatic 63-62 overtime win over New Mexico in Laramie on Saturday.

The win propelled Wyoming back into sole possession of first place in the Mountain West Conference at 6-1 in conference play (17-3 overall).

Nance played a key role in the game winning play, as he deflected a New Mexico pass, saving the ball and getting it to Cowboy guard Charles Hankerson Jr. Riley Grabau then passed to an open Nance who scored the game winner with 3.2 seconds left in overtime.

The Wyoming victory snapped an eight-game losing streak vs. the Lobos. Wyoming hits the road for a conference game at Utah State (11-8, 4-3 MWC) on Tuesday night.
