A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department says there are still slots available for the department's Citizen's Police Academy, which starts Wednesday. Sgt. Rob Dafoe says the academy is a great way to find out the truth about police work and the training Cheyenne Police officers receive before they hit the streets. Dafoe says topics covered will range from processing a crime scene to narcotics investigations to  how traffic stops are conducted. The course is free. Dafoe says people can register online at cheyennepd.org.
