Cheyenne Schools Asking For Current Contact Info

Laramie County School District #1 is asking local parents to make sure the district has their current contact information, including an up-to-date cell phone number.

The district issues announcements such as cancellations due to weather and other emergencies via cell phone.

District spokeswoman Mary Quast says earlier this week when district schools were locked down due to a shooting incident in the city several parents contacted the school to say they had not been notified about the lockdown.

Quast says the reason they didn't get the notification was that their cell numbers had changed and the new numbers weren't known.

Parents can update their contact information by clicking on the "infinite campus" link on the district website.
