Are you excited about Cheyenne Frontier Days?

A sure sign that the 'Daddy of 'em All' is near, is the crews hanging up the annual decorations over the parade route in downtown Cheyenne. On Thursday, June 26, under stormy skies, the bucket truck moved in zigzags down Capitol Avenue draping the red, black and white flags from lightpole to lightpole. The parade route turns left at 18th Street and heads east to Central, then south to Lincolnway where it goes past the Plains Hotel, the Depot Plaza, the Wrangler and the Atlas Theatre, then heads north on Carey Avenue to 24th Street where it wraps up at the Capitol building.

Parades are coming up on the first Saturday of Cheyenne Frontier Days, July 19, Tuesday, July 22, Thursday, July 24, and Saturday, July 26. They begin at 9:30 a.m. at the steps of the Wyoming State Capitol.
