A single car rollover near Rawlins Wednesday morning has claimed the life of a 20-year-old female from Utah.

Sgt. Steve Townsend of the Wyoming Highway Patrol says Tiffany Anderson of Payson Utah was sleeping in the back seat of a car driven by 19-year-old Sean Anderson of American Fork, Utah around 7:20 a.m., 5 miles west of Rawlins on Interstate 80. Investigators believe the eastbound vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and hit a delineator post.

Sean Anderson then over-corrected to the left, back towards the roadway. The vehicle then went slid across both eastbound lanes, going off the road into a median. He once again overcorrected the vehicle before rolling an unknown number of times and coming to rest on its top.

During the rollover Tiffany Anderson, who was not wearing any safety restraints, was ejected from the pickup. She was declared dead at the scene. Sean Anderson was hospitalized at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County.
