Join me, Gary Freeman, as we profile "the new kid in town"! No, we're not talking about Billy The Kid, but a new newspaper who's goal is to put real news in your hand. Liberty's Torch is Cheyenne's newest newspaper and it is lighting the way of truth in the news that you won't find in other local papers. The newspaper, the brainchild of founder Bradley Harrington, former commentary columnist for Cheyenne’s Wyoming Tribune-Eagle, and his wife Barbie Harrington, starts out as a monthly publication on the first Friday of every month, but hopes to shift to at least every two weeks, on the first and third Fridays of the month,  as soon as possible. Take a moment to meet the Publisher and Editor of Liberty's Torch right here, right now on "Across America" with Gary Freeman.

[/caption]Bradley Harrington was born in Eugene, Oregon, in 1959, and Barbie Arnold was born in Glendora, California in 1959 as well. While they both spent some time pretty close together in the Los Angeles area as children in the 1960s, they didn’t actually meet until 2001 when Bradley relocated to Cheyenne, where Barbie had been living for quite some time. They were married at Multnomah Falls outside of Portland, Oregon, on the Summer Solstice of 2003. With five children and nine grandchildren between them, their family grows year by year.

In early 2011 both Bradley and Barbie, concerned with current social, political and journalistic trends, decided to found Liberty’s Torch Enterprises for the purpose of taking an active, positive role in the offering of saner, more rational alternatives. Fiercely independent and beholden to no one, Liberty’s Torch promotes and advocates individual liberty, private property and personal responsibility as the source of the answers needed by people today, both in the local community and in the wider world itself, and strives to achieve those  principles and values through each and every issue.  Are they successful in this endeavor? That is for you to judge for yourself.
