Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr says she has enlisted the help of local Boy Scouts in removing fallen tree branches left behind by last week's severe spring storm.

The mayor says after she received a lot of calls from elderly or disabled people asking for help with pulling branches and limbs to the curb, she asked the scouts for help. Orr says "they more than stepped up to the plate.''

Scouts from the Frontier District of the Longs Peak Council will be working with her office throughout the Memorial Day weekend to clean up the branches and limbs.

She says anyone who needs the help should call her office at 637-6300 or email her at mayor@cheyennecity.org by noon on Monday, leaving their name and address.

The mayor says people can leave messages with the information on her phone if she doesn't answer.
