American Eagle airlines will discontinue service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Cheyenne on April 3rd.  According to American Airlines officials in a news release this afternoon, American is restructuring its network due to a variety of economic factors, including rapidly rising fuel prices. "The cost of fuel is more than 50 percent higher than it was projected to be when we entered the market," Gary Foss, managing director-network planning for American's regional network, said in the release. As part of its restructuring efforts, American is discontinuing some service. In addition to Cheyenne's service, American Airlines and American Eagle have cancelled 14 routes in December and January, including routes to Boise, Idaho; Savannah, Ga.; Fort Myers, Fla.; Augusta, Ga.; Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Fayetteville, N.C.; and Burbank, Calif. American will assist customers who have purchased tickets for
travel after April 2 with making alternative travel plans. Call 1-800-433-7300
