As we head into August, spending time with the family is a high commodity. Here are some events that you and your family can do this weekend in Cheyenne.

  1. Demolition Derby - This event will take place in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Arena - Friday, July 31, 2015. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the event starts at 8 p.m.
    $10 for 12 - adult and $5 for under 12 years old. Tickets may be bought at the gate.
  2. Pine Bluffs Rodeo - G Rodeo Company will kick off the event tonight, Friday July 31, 2015 in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and $3 for children 6-12. The event will take place at 7 p.m. at the Pine Bluffs rodeo grounds, located at Second and Beech.
  3. Old-Fashioned Melodrama - This is the last weekend to check out the melodrama at the Historic Atlas Theatre, located at 211 W Lincolnway in Cheyenne. Show time is at 7 p.m. Get your tickets at cheyennelittletheatre.org.
  4. Laramie County Fair - Alpaca Show - Alpaca Poultry Barn at the Laramie Country Fair.
  5. 30 - Year Remembrance Ceremony - 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 will hold a ceremony on the corner of Ridge Rd and Dell Range Blvd, near the "blue heron" statue, to remember the flood of 1985 in Cheyenne. All are invited.
