Wyoming Sheriff’s Office To Auction Vehicles, Bids Start At $264
The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office will have an auction of forfeited and abandoned vehicles on Tuesday, April 2.
That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

According to the post, the following vehicles will be up for auction:
- 2007 Chevrolet Silverado (starting bid of $264)
- 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee (starting bid of $348)
- 2004 Chrysler Town & Country (starting bid of $576)
Where Do These Cars Come From?
The sheriff's office says the vehicles are abandoned or court-forfeited cars. The agency tries to contact the vehicle owners by posting notices in public places and newspapers before auctioning them off.
It also says of the auctioned vehicles:
''We have no history on any of these vehicles, and most auctioned vehicles have no keys. All vehicles are auctioned as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. We reserve the right to reject any or all bids.''
Sweetwater County Sheriff's OfficeGates open at 9:30 a.m., and bidding begins at 10 a.m. Anyone who buys one of the cars must pick it up by the end of the day on Friday, April 5 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Only cash payments will be accepted.
