JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A serial rapist who committed crimes in the mid-1970s is going back to prison for rapes that happened over 40 years ago.

The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports Donald Kenneth Pack Jr., who was convicted and sentenced to prison in the late '70s for kidnapping and raping a young woman, was sentenced again Friday to eight to 12 years after lab tests linked him to another victim.

Pack was arrested at his Cheyenne home after being out of prison for over two decades.

The Wyoming Department of Corrections says Pack initially was given 15 to 30 years for the crime in the '70s, but that sentence was commuted to 12 to 24 years. Pack spent eight years at the Wyoming State Penitentiary before going to the Wyoming Honor Farm.
