Wyoming House Committee Begins Hearing on Cindy Hill

A former supervisor with the Wyoming Education Department says she believes federal money was misspent when state schools Superintendent Cindy Hill ran the agency.

Gail Eisenhauer testified Monday morning before a special Wyoming House committee, which is holding a hearing in Cheyenne into whether Hill committed any impeachable offenses. The Legislature's Select Investigative Committee could recommend that Hill face impeachment by the full House. Hill is a Republican who was elected in 2010. She has denied any wrongdoing and says she's a victim of a witch hunt. The GOP-controlled Legislature and Republican Gov. Matt Mead enacted a new law last year that removed the superintendent as head of the Education Department.

Hill is challenging the law's constitutionality.
