Wyoming High School Golf Scoreboard: Aug. 23-28, 2021

It’s Week 3 of the high school golf season and another six events are on the schedule.

Those golf invites are spread throughout the week. There are both two-day and one-day tournaments.

Monday, Aug. 23:

Casper Invite – at Casper Municipal G.C. – Kelly Walsh, Natrona County Sheridan

Tuesday, Aug. 24:

Casper Invite – at Casper Municipal G.C. – Kelly Walsh, Natrona County Sheridan

NC's Sophie Spiva and KW's Tanner Warren posted two-shot wins in their hometown. The Sheridan girls and Kelly Walsh boys won the team crowns by comfortable margins.

Thursday, Aug. 26:

Rock Springs Invitational – at White Mountain G.C. – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lander, Lyman, Pinedale, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley

Bobcat-Warrior Dual

Thermopolis' Hardy Johnson shoots 64 and wins by 10 in the boys' division. Worland's Taylor Simmons had the lowest score for the girls.

Torrington Invite – at Cottonwood G.C. – Buffalo, Cheyenne Central JV, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland

Friday, Aug. 27:

Lovell Invite – at Foster Gulch G.C. – Cody, Lovell, Powell, Thermopolis, Worland

Erika Cook wins by 30 shots for the girls' medalist positions. Cody's Hunter Hall fires a 74 for a 1-stroke win. The Lovell girls and Worland boys won the team titles.

Rock Springs Invitational – at White Mountain G.C. – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lyman, Pinedale, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley

Isabell Salas won by five shots and led Green River to the team victory, as well.

Parker Paxton of Riverton won by 18 shots and led the Wolverines to the team crown.

Sundance Invite – at Lusk Municipal G.C. – Big Horn, Glenrock, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Tongue River, Upton, Wright

Upton's Brooklyn Materi takes the girls' title by eight strokes, while Hayden Tellez of Big Horn wins by 15. Those two led their teams, Upton and Big Horn, to the team crowns.

Torrington Invite – at Cottonwood G.C. – Buffalo, Cheyenne Central JV, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland

Lily Nichols wins by 6 shots in the girls' division. She helps Wheatland to a comfortable team win, as well.

Torrington's Gage Gibson was the medalist in the boys' division. He won by 5 strokes on his home course. Kelly Walsh ran away with the team crown.

Saturday, Aug. 28:

Moorcroft Invite – at Keyhole Golf & Country Club – Big Horn, Glenrock, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Tongue River, Upton, Wright

Upton's Brooklyn Materi wins by 6 strokes and Big Horn's Hayden Tellez captured the boys' division by 10 shots. That led the Upton girls and Big Horn boys to team crowns for the second straight day.
