Wyoming Health Officials Want Input On Senior Programs
A spokeswoman for the Wyoming Department of Health [WDH] says that agency is asking for feedback on programs offered by its Aging Division.
Kim Deti says Wyoming's population of older residents was about 90,000 last year, but that number is expected to increase by about 56 percent to around 138,000 by 2030.
The current input is being sought to help develop a ''Wyoming State Plan on Aging" to cover the next four years. the federal government requires such a plan to outline how state and federal grants will be given out to local providers of services to older people.
Lisa Osvold, WDH aging Division senior administrator, said the money helps older people and those with severe disabilities live as independently as possible. you can read the agency's draft plan here.
