Wyoming Harm Reduction Program To Target Drug Users
The Wyoming Department of Health has contracted with the National Harm Reduction Coalition to improve health outcomes for drug users in the state, according to a WDH news release.
Some of the programs will seek to reduce opioid overdoses as well as drug-related health issues such as HIV and hepatitis C infections, according to the release.
The initiative will get underway with public meetings in Cheyenne, Casper, and Riverton in October. The meeting schedule is as follows:
- Cheyenne: Monday, Oct. 7 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Laramie County Public Library in the Cottonwood Room at 2200 Pioneer Ave. RSVP: http://bit.ly/HRCINWY
