The Wyoming Department of Health has contracted with the National Harm Reduction Coalition to improve health outcomes for drug users in the state, according to a WDH news release.

Some of the programs will seek to reduce opioid overdoses as well as drug-related health issues such as HIV and hepatitis C infections, according to the release.

The initiative will get underway with public meetings in Cheyenne, Casper, and Riverton in October. The meeting schedule is as follows:

  • Cheyenne: Monday, Oct. 7 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Laramie County Public Library in the Cottonwood Room at 2200 Pioneer Ave. RSVP: http://bit.ly/HRCINWY
