Wyoming Gas Prices Continue Downward Trend
Wyoming drivers continue to see some relief as they fill up their tanks. Gasbuddy.com senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan says the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded dropped nearly four-cents this past week to $3.05. DeHaan says Casper, as well as the rest of the state of Wyoming is reporting some of the cheapest gas prices in the nation.
The nationwide average has fallen 2.4 cents per gallon to $3.21. According to Gasbuddy.com, prices yesterday were 4.4 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 15.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
DeHaan says gas was selling for as low as $.275 a gallon in Casper, $2.81 in Cheyenne and $2.83 in Laramie. He says the downward trend is expected to continue through the holidays.
Another downward trend in gasoline prices has emerged as motorists hit the roads in the last full week before Christmas.
Looking into the new year, DeHaan says he’s optimistic prices may move lower in the coming weeks.
we can say that 2014 does offer some relief compared to what we'll end up seeing in terms of average in 2013, but for the time being, the next week looks to see a continued drop in gasoline prices.
The firm gets its figures from a weekly survey of 494 gas outlets in Wyoming.
