Would Wyoming Use Tinder to Have Someone Pay Your Traffic Fines?
This student just needed help paying a fine, so she used a dating app to get it.
I've never used a dating app before, but I'm willing to be that there are all sorts of people on them. I believe there are genuine people who are honestly looking for love and there are people who are looking for God knows what. This woman in Australia was just looking for help... and probably love too.
According to the Daily Mail, Lexi is a 25-year-old college student at the University of Newcastle who incurred a traffic fine. She used her Tinder profile bio to ask for help in paying the $110 fee. She wrote "Just looking for a nice guy to pay penalty infringement..."
It was Matt McHugh from Shreveport, Louisiana who took action.
The engineer struck up a conversation with Lexi and after a few good chats, decided to help her out. He used Tinder Plus to find people in Australia, a place he has always wanted to visit, and since she was a good sport he felt like it was a nice thing to do. McHugh isn't expecting anything in return aside from friendship. As he puts it, "... it's hard to get one of those beautiful blonde Australians to come to America."
I kind of feel like this whole idea started off as a joke. Do you think it was appropriate to use Tinder like this? Would you have paid her fine?
