At 9:38 a.m., Mountain Standard Time, the space shuttle 'Challenger' launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida and exploded in a fork-like trail, with all on board dead.

I remember being in the 10th grade, at Cerritos High School in Southern California, when we heard about this tragic news. What was to be celebrated as an exciting time, ended up being a disaster, which impressed the minds of Americans for years to come.

Many of us were either children, teens, college students, in the work force and some were not even born yet. We'd like to hear your story.
