There are lots of factors that go into what we want as an occupation. We look at things like quality of life, work stress, benefits, and of course, pay. If you're offered the same position by two different companies, would you take the one that pays slightly less, but has a better work-life balance? I think that's the difference between work now and 20 to 30 years ago.

Obviously, we've all thought about that high-paying job that we've wanted our whole lives. Or at least the money from that high-paying job. Don't act as if you've never wanted to swim in a safe of money like Scrooge McDuck. Though, now that I think about it, that's probably not very practical.

The website Zippia decided to break down what the highest paying job is in Wyoming. While I'm not surprised that this is a high-paying job, I'm more so surprised that it came in as the highest paying job in the whole state.

What Is The Highest Paying Job In Wyoming?

The highest paying job in Wyoming is Anesthesiologist, Pain Management Specialist. The average salary for someone in this position is $208,758. Owner/Operator came in second in this list, which I found interesting. I know we all know that's a well-paying job, but I was impressed that, not only did that position come in 2nd, but the average salary is $190,293.

They found these numbers by looking at data released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics and looking at the salary data set for nearly 3,000 jobs in Wyoming.
