ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Western Wyoming Community College has chosen a Nebraska college administrator to be its next president.

The Rock Springs Rocket Miner reported Friday the Western Wyoming trustees selected Kimberly Dale from a field of 54 applicants.

Dale is currently executive vice president of Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff. She succeeds Karla Leach, who announced her retirement last year.

Dale previously served as dean of instruction at two campuses of Colorado's Front Range Community College, in Fort Collins and Westminster. She has also been on the faculty of Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado.

Dale holds a doctorate in educational leadership and human resource studies from Colorado State University.
