Below is a list of current weather-related school and business closings.

In anticipation of predicted hazardous blizzard conditions, Laramie County School District 1 will be closed on Wednesday, March 13. This decision has been made after consultation with the National Weather Service, Laramie County Emergency Management and other local agencies. School buildings and district facilities will be closed. Bus routes will not run and all activities have been canceled.

This does not follow LCSD1 closure procedures as district officials typically do not cancel school based on a weather forecast. However, in this situation, anticipated storm impacts including heavy snow and sustained wind gusts will take place at the time when school would release. Our primary concern is the safety of our students, parents and staff.

Any closure or delay information beyond Wednesday will be communicated prior to 6 a.m. Thursday, March 14.

The Laramie County Commissioners and the Mayor of Cheyenne have placed the Level 1 Emergency Snow Plan into effect for Wednesday, March 13, 2019.

Due to expected severe winter weather and unsafe road conditions all City of Cheyenne and Laramie County offices will be closed for business tomorrow. Non-essential employees are to remain home and shelter during the severe weather.

We encourage all employees and residents of Cheyenne and Laramie County to use extreme caution when traveling tomorrow. Weather conditions will be unsafe for travel and will deteriorate throughout the day and into Thursday.

Laramie County School District #2 will be closed Wednesday, March 13 due to weather. We will make this day up on Friday, March 22.

Due to anticipated weather conditions, all LCCC campuses and outreach centers will close on Wednesday, March 13 (this also includes all LCCC-related activities).
