Two Facing Felony Meth Charges in Laramie County
A Georgia man and a Colorado woman are facing multiple drug charges after Wyoming troopers discovered the two were allegedly planning to sell methamphetamine to someone in Cheyenne.
According to an affidavit, 40-year-old Traquevis Hardy and 45-year-old Lisa Rench were arrested on May 13 after troopers responding to a REDDI report found a meth pipe, syringes and a "kit" with items commonly associated with intravenous drug use in their car and a marijuana pipe and a "bindle" of marijuana in Rench's purse.
Hardy was also being sought on two warrants out of Laramie County on original charges of possession of a controlled substance.
When the two were being booked into jail, a deputy reportedly found three small baggies containing 18.3 grams of methamphetamine in Rench's bra.
Rench claimed two of the baggies belonged to her and the larger one belonged to Hardy. She also stated that Hardy told her he had no money and was planning on meeting an unknown person at the Motel 6 in Cheyenne at a specific time.
Hardy is charged with conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, felony delivery of methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. He could face up to 60 years in prison if convicted.
Rench is charged with conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. If convicted on all four counts, she could face up to 29 years in prison.
Hardy is being held on a $10,000 cash bond and Rench on a $5,000 cash bond. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for May 25 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
