Wyoming wildfires

The Slough Creek Campground is the smallest of the developed campgrounds in Yellowstone with 23 sites.

Nearby scattered rural residences have been evacuated.

Firefighters have gained 50 percent containment of the fire that has burned about 22 square miles on the Shoshone National Forest and private land.

The Squirrel Creek Fire south of Centennial has grown to 9,085 acres as of 8 pm July 3, according to the incident command. Containment stands at 12%, with crews successfully completing fireline around some of the fire perimeter.
