Cheyenne and Laramie residents can expect snow showers and gusty winds this Sunday and Monday. Drive cautiously and be prepared for changing conditions.

Strong winds and blowing snow are in the weather foerecast for southeast Wyoming. Cheyenne and Laramie at last report were also under Winter Weather Advisories, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weater Service. The agency posted the following on its website: Today will be a fairly nasty day across the area...

''Lower elevations will see 5 to 8 inches of snow with the mountains receiving 12 to 20 inches or more."

Cheyenne streets are covered in a sheet of ice this morning.

Gayle Russel lives right right off I-25, near the Bordeaux exit at mile marker 77. She took some photos of what the Bordeaux underpass looked like this afternoon and it did not look pretty (well, it did look pretty, but it didn't look safe).

Heads up - I-80 is closed at WY/NE border to Sidney, NE - due to winter conditions in the southern NE Panhandle.

Accumulations with this second system could be significant, along with strong winds and blowing snow.

While the sun is shining and the snow has since ceased falling, area roadways in places still have some slick spots of ice and snow.

The agency says ''strong gusty winds and large hail are possible.:"

Some large hail up to 1” may be possible in the strongest storms this afternoon and evening.
