The UW Board of Trustees considered possible changes to out-of-state and online tuition as well as moving to a 'block tuition' system to increase enrollment of out-of-state and nonresident students, as part of a capacity study conducted by Huron Consulting Group.
According to the Governor's press release issued Wednesday, the program provided tuition assistance to 162 veterans at Wyoming's seven community colleges and the University of Wyoming.
The commission likely will not make a decision regarding the policy until this fall, which means any changes would not go into effect until the 2017-18 academic year.
The University of Wyoming is the best university in the nation for out-of-state students in a new ranking list that takes into account academic quality, affordability and accessibility.
