The Almanac says it predicts the weather based on a formula developed by founding editor David Young in 1818.

The average temperature during the meteorological summer was the warmest ever recorded in Cheyenne and second-warmest ever in Scottsbluff.

It will be a little hotter and drier than usual, according to meteorologist Don Day Jr.
