Sen. Fred Baldwin voted against the bill, commenting before voting that he feels the issues the bill tries to address are covered under current Wyoming law.

The committee will hear more testimony on Friday, and will probably vote on the bill then, according to Sen. Charles Scott.

The bill lost in Committee on a 4-4 tie vote. Rep. Scott Clem [R-Campbell County], who could have been the deciding vote, was absent.

The bill would require most able-bodied Medicaid recipients to work, go to school or volunteer for at least 20 hours per week.
