Rep. Matt Gaetz

The often outlandish, Trump-styled provocateur appears increasingly isolated amid a federal sex-trafficking investigation.

Gaetz, who represents parts of western Florida, is accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl and paying her to travel with him, and he is under investigation to determine if he violated federal sex trafficking laws.

Gaetz told the crowd at one point ''I've been in Wyoming an hour and I think I already know this state better than Liz Cheney."

Rep. Gaetz is a Republican who represents Florida's First congressional district.
