Former finance executive and long-time Republican Party activist Ann Lucas has announced that she is running for the House District 43 seat currently held by Republican Dan Zwonitzer.

House Speaker Eric Barlow said Tuesday “I consider the question of Rep. Zwonitzer’s qualifications to serve in the 66th House of Representatives to be resolved."

In a recent email to Townsquare Media, Zwonitzer wrote "I am still in my district."

Zwonitzer, when contacted by Townsquare Media via email earlier this week said "I'm still in my district."

The state will be getting roughly $1.3 billion in stimulus money to be spent for such things as municipalities, education, rental assistance, and other areas.

The amended version would give the five statewide elected officials raises of $8,000 each.

A Republican state legislator from Cheyenne says he a thinks a proposal to legalize medical marijuana in Wyoming could be approved in the 2017 legislative session.

Legislators and Secretary of State officials will discuss Wyoming's laws about shell corporations and registered agents at an interim committee meeting in May.

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says a proposed bill that would allow voters to extend the sixth penny tax past the time when approved projects are paid for, could provide needed funding for local governments, but he still wants more information on the proposal.
