The University of Wyoming students may soon be able to obtain a degree in natural resources recreation and tourism.

McCoy says the proposed degree program will be a business focused take on tourism and recreation, in order to foster a highly-educated workforce that will develop new businesses or grow existing businesses in Wyoming.

The study shows how recreation is growing since Wyoming's energy sector has been in decline.

How do you feel about Cheyenne Frontier Days?

The university already offers programs to help feed other industries in Wyoming, from education to energy.

Go amphibious, from ATV to Jet ski in about 4 seconds at the touch of a button. The Quadski’s top speed on land and water is about 45 mph and may soon add skis.

There is nothing like jogging, biking or just taking a nice stroll on the Cheyenne Greeenway. However, that's not to say you won't see some entertaining things on the path.

“Conditions are very dangerous at this time,” says Burton. “People shouldn’t float when the river is this high. It will drop soon; wait until then for your float trip.”

Have you enjoyed a picnic at Vedauwoo yet this summer? The rock formations and recreational area off Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie offers an abundance of birds, scenery and wildlife. Take a field trip there with the Cheyenne chapter of the Audubon Society on Saturday, September 19.
