According to crime data, the number of burglaries in the county, not including Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs, was down 39% from 2023 and 61% from 2021.

Cheyenne police say property crimes were down 22 percent in 2019, despite an increasing population.

Police Chief Brian Kozak says that while you probably won't get shot or stabbed in Cheyenne, someone might steal your property.
