Many of Wyoming’s elected officials, as well as professionals within Wyoming’s oil & gas industry are reacting to the recent news that President Joe Biden is set to announce a wide-ranging moratorium on new oil and gas leasing on U.S. land.
Prominent Wyoming authority figures, such as Governor Mark Gordon and Congresswoman Liz Cheney, as well as local agencies like the Petroleum Association of Wyoming, have issued statements condemning an order that, for the next 60 days, suspends approval of new oil and gas leases, along with key agency, regulatory, and development actions.
The Iranian-backed Houthis, who hold Yemen's capital, Sanaa, and other territory in the Arab world's poorest country, took responsibility for the attacks.
