The research is to be primarily conducted in Laramie.

The project is a partnership among UW, Northwest College, U.S. military services and school districts in Big Horn, Fremont, Goshen, Hot Springs, Laramie, Natrona, Uinta and Washakie counties.

Equipment delivery and installation of the new IBM supercomputing system called " Yellowstone" has begun at the NCAR-Wyoming  Supercomputing Center (NWSC) in Cheyenne.
