The recent adoption of the Common Core Curriculum will require an in-depth review of the current curriculum in Laramie County School District 1, according to Dr. Tracy Kinney, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction for the district. Kinney says the good news is that in her opinion, the existing state standards were probably fairly close to the common core in terms of academic rigor, but she says

Burke was interviewed both on Oct. 22 and Oct. 26 by Diana Crews of City on a Hill Blog Talk Radio.  On both programs, Burke discussed the heavy costs of implementing the Common Core Standards in each of the 46 states (45 states plus the District of Columbia) that adopted the national standards...

Despite all of the information and warnings to the contrary, the State Board of Education, in it's infinite wisdom, voted this week to sell our children down the river in Wyoming by accepting the "Federal Core Curriculum" and all the government strings and attachments that go with it, including the ever dangerous diversity agenda...

The Wyoming Board of Education voted 8-4 Friday to adopt the nation’s common core state standards. This will mean some changes in curricula and statewide assessments. An $11 million ranch in northern Albany County is one of the few major ranch purchases by the Wyoming Office of  State Lands and Investments. Doug Randall reports.
