It's funny how special memories come back to you at unexpected times. 18 years ago, I had the legendary Charlie Daniels on my radio show. It was during that visit that he revealed he had received a gift once from another legend - Wyoming's Chris LeDoux and he kept it forever.
When you're the worst at something, you never expect to receive any sort of compliment, unless of course someone says, "Hey, that participation trophy looks great!" But imagine being listed as the worst state for American music lovers. In fact, you don't have to imagine, because it's a reality. Wyoming was listed as just that. However, what if you still received some pretty high praise given our dead last ranking? That's an interesting twist!
Wyoming Baroque will present be “The Golem” at 7:30 pm on Monday, Oct. 4, in the University of Wyoming’s Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts choral rehearsal room.
The performance is free and open to the public.
The ensemble will perform a new soundtrack to the 1920 classic silent film “The Golem: How He Came into the World," which will be screening at the same time.
