Five to seven inches of snow coupled with winds gusting as high as 55 mph could make for very difficult travel on Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne Thursday.
Friday brought hurricane-force winds to southeast Wyoming, closing roads, including Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Laramie, to light, high-profile vehicles.
Parts of Interstate 80 in southeast Wyoming, including the Summit, could see wind gusts up to 60 mph this weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
Travel could be very difficult along Interstate 80 west of Cheyenne this evening into early Wednesday morning, where up to half a foot of snow could fall.
