The University of Wyoming has received a $9.77 million award from the U.S. Department of Energy for a project that would determine the feasibility of creating a commercial-scale geological storage complex for carbon dioxide in Wyoming.
Nichols said semi-finalists would be announced around March, following site visits, and that the grant-winner would likely not be announced until June.
The University of Wyoming Geological Museum will be able to display the entirety of its fossil collection thanks to a $101,413 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
