Fort D.A. Russell was founded in 1867, the same year as the city of Cheyenne.

Russell Days is the one time of year Jane and Joe Citizen can access the base and get a peek at the workings of the mightiest  military in the world, able to deal death en mass to those who would threaten our great nation...

Events include historic military demonstrations, security forces dog presentations, muskets to missiles displays, period style dances and high noon gunfights.
