The Bureau of Land Management says it is putting partial fire restrictions on its lands in Wyoming's Weston, Crook and Niobrara counties due to dry conditions and high fire danger.
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management, citing dry conditions and high fire danger, has placed partial fire restrictions on public lands it administers in Natrona, Converse, Platte and Goshen counties beginning today.
The BLM imposes these restrictions in coordination with the counties:
Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire or campfire except within agency-provided fire grates at developed
Wyoming hasn't had any big wildfires so far this year but several weeks in a row of warm, dry weather have led to the state's first widespread fire restrictions this year.
