Evansville Elementary School went on a brief lockdown on Wednesday following a report of a suspicious person near the school.

The Evansville Police Department recently revealed that they performed an undercover sting operation to recover stolen items and arrest the individuals responsible for the theft.

Thompson said an investigation is ongoing and further information cannot be released.

The release said that the suspect, in addition to the active warrants and the fact that he was driving with a suspended license, was arrested for felony eluding, numerous traffic violations, and possession of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine.

A struggle ensued in which the victim was stabbed two more times, according to court documents.
