An unnamed Laramie business received a phone call this week from a person claiming to be an employee requesting a change of account form for direct deposit.

Gregory and Colleen Nicklas claim a scammer was able to steal the money from their home sale by getting it deposited into the wrong account.

Western Union is not part of this scam, even though the criminals are using the name of their company.
