Dangerous Travel Conditions

The weekend forecast for Cheyenne and Laramie is a mix of rain, snow, and strong winds, so stay informed!

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has southeast Wyoming under a High Wind Warning until this evening, with winds of up to 80 miles per hour possible.

Another round of heavy snow is expected to blanket southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle Tuesday afternoon through late Wednesday night.

Two to five inches of snow coupled with winds gusting as high as 65 mph could make for whiteout conditions on the Interstate 80 Summit later today through Wednesday.

High winds will impact travel conditions across southeast Wyoming starting this evening, with wind-prone areas seeing gusts in excess of 80 mph.

Interstate 25 remained open to all vehicles at last report.

Subzero wind chills and 6 to 10 inches of snow are in the forecast.
