Capitol Renovation

The Wyoming Capitol reopened last month after a $300 million renovation that took three and a half years.

Treasurer Mark Gordon issued a statement today in response to the ruling.

A release from the Wyoming Legislature Friday evening says the lawsuit comes after the plaintiffs -- Representative Gerald Gay (R-Natrona County) and Evanston resident Karl Allred -- failed in legislative efforts to stop the Capitol Square Project.

The plan to renovate the State Capitol and the adjacent Herschler Building in Cheyenne will take a year longer than planned and cost more than originally anticipated.
