Thanks to a variance, more high school football fans will be allowed at Riske Field and the Okie Blanchard Sports Complex during the playoffs.

District officials recently proposed eliminating most athletics at the two schools.

Roughly $2.8 million of those cuts will come from discontinuing all athletics programs.
